A wide range of repertoire covering many genres. Teaching a sound technical background I use study books by Dotzaeur, Duport, Popper, Feuillard, Starker and other major technical masters. Kodaly method often included within lessons.
Marianne studied the cello at The Royal Academy of Music, Royal Northern College of Music and Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary and was awarded a Masters in Cultural Management at City University. Having performed with leading orchestras and ensembles including The Halle, Welsh National Opera and Bratislava Chamber orchestra her work has also led to recordings for BBC Radio, Television and ITV. Solo and chamber performances include venues throughout the UK and Europe including St James Piccadilly, Victoria & Albert Museum, Royal Academy of Arts, Burgh House, Lauderdale House, Stanjel, Castle Slovenia and Palace of The Arts in Budapest. A series of cello and piano duo recitals in London venues is scheduled for the 2010/11 season.
As well as her work as a professional cellist and teacher Marianne is a member of staff at Middlesex University North London where her work includes Music Lectures for the BA music courses, PhD research (in cello teaching), ensemble directing, string coaching and cello teaching.
