I prefer to teach students who are interested in playing jazz and learning to improvise.
I have recently launched an iphone app called Jazz Practice. A significant upgrade and improvement of the functionality is planned for February. However, for now, it provides an initial understanding of the cycle of fifths with a practice regime for working on scales and modes around the cycle.
